Here are some ideas for self-care, and the safety of our therapy and counseling space, during the time of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Please talk to me about any thoughts, concerns or needs.
Self-care these days:
– Now is a good time to strengthen your healthy routines: healthy eating, rest, safe and mindful activities, connecting with loved ones, engaging with meaningful and positive aspects of your life.
– Seek quality information, keep perspective. Be mindful in managing how many times you are reading or listening media about Coronavirus (COVID-19) a day.
– Feel free to let me know other ways you support your self-care.
Safety in our therapy space:
you need to quarantine, we can have sessions via phone or video-call.
These are the symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19): respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath or breathing difficulties. If you or I have any of these symptoms, let’s cancel the face-to-face session meeting. We can meet via phone or video conference, re-schedule, and be flexible. I am committed to protecting you. Please help me protect myself and others too.
During this time, I am suspending the 24-hr. cancellation policy. You can cancel the face-to-face appointment with me at any time if you have any symptoms or concerns regarding COVID-19.
If we have face-t0-face sessions, I will wash my hands and utilize hand sanitizer between sessions and within the session time. I invite you to do the same.
Allergies, a cold, a flu, or simply a healthy reaction to the environment may make us cough or sneeze. If we cough or sneeze, let’s cover our mouth and nose with tissue, or our upper sleeve and bend elbow.
If we customarily kiss chic-to-chic or shake hands to welcome and say goodbye, during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) time, let’s switch to a mindful smile, hand wave and/or elbow bump J
You or I may enter in contact with someone who has travelled abroad to a region with higher Coronavirus (COVID-19). I don’t know the specific guidelines for public health prevention in such cases, so, let’s use precaution. If there is any chance that, directly or indirectly, there has been exposure to Coronavirus, i.e. someone who has respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath or breathing difficulties, I will cancel face-to-face sessions. I ask you to do the same. We can still meet via video or phone.
Please talk to me, at any time, about any thoughts, questions, concerns you may have. I welcome your email and phone messages at any time.
